Why I started Medical Challenges
I live with fairly severe peripheral neuropathy. Mine goes back to my time in Vietnam, where I worked on land clearing operations. I was never there while the spraying was going on, but we came in long afterwards to clear out all the debris.
Today my feet are numb all the time, yet they still tingle. Most of the time I honestly have no idea where my feet are. I have grown so used to it that when I am busy with something I hardly notice, but it is hard to ignore when I try to read or go to sleep. On top of that come sharp, burning pains that last six or seven seconds, and believe me, those seconds can feel like an hour. Lately I have also started to notice more tingling and numbness in my fingers.
I take two prescribed medications, pregabalin and Cymbalta, and they definitely help me.
In our blogs on nerve-related health issues you will see several product ads. I have tried most of these products myself. From my own experience, and from talking with other people and with my neurologist, I have learned that some work and some do not. What works for me may not work for you, and something that did nothing for me may work for you, so I have included them all. I share them for your information only.
